F of the 12th Wisconsin Regiment.  The company proceeded to the western front in Kansas, to Vicksburg for that city’s siege and surrender, and then east to join Sherman’s march to the sea.  It was mustered out in July of 1865.

Spruce School Cookbook July 2000                                       

     Built in 1889, the Spruce School of the Oconto Falls School District has gone from a one-room school with up to 60 students, to a state graded school, to a state charter school in 1998.  “Many of the students passing through the Spruce School, grades 1 through 5 in 1999-2000 school year, are second, third and fourth generation students of the school.  And just as parents were the primary motivators for founding the school, so now parents and the community, who are very active on behalf of the school, keep Spruce School thriving.”  $8.00
