Saturday, August 9 - Sunday, August 17, 2008 -- Art Show
The OCHS Art Show will begin Saturday, August 9 and continue through Sunday, August 17, 2008. The criteria for this event is simple. Artists that live or have lived in Oconto County may exhibit two of their creations. Persons interested in exhibiting items may call Rosemary Rice at 920-834-2437 by July 25. Invitations and notices will be in the local newspapers. Space is limited. We try to accommodate 30 artists. Artwork will be placed throughout the historical Beyer Home Museum and Annex for folks to enjoy. Last year 23 individuals shared a variety of artistic mediums -- quilting, applique, acrylic, oil and watercolor painting, photography, wood carving, scroll saw pictures, fiber art, and nature study drawings. Twelve of these people repeatedly contribute to the Art Show. Therefore, PLAN AHEAD. Mark your calendar. Prepare to be a participant or a spectator.
